This is it for this school year!. You Thought Finals at Cap Were Tough!!

This will be the last post. I am simply trying to help a few of you raise your grades. I heard several students say that they were having a hard time concentrating during some of their finals this week. It can't be as bad for you as it is in Baghdad. Check out this article, "Iraqi Students Are Tested by Battle Outside." Amazingly, there are even connections to Romeo and Juliet in this piece.

WOW!! i can't believe how lucky we are to have peace and quiet in the classrooms while we are taking our finals!! it should be one of those things that everyone should be able to have... it seems so wrong that it isn't reality...
there are so many things that people here take for granted and when we see an example of someone else's misfortune, it feels like someone woke you up and brought you back into the real world by pouring a pitcher of freezing water on you, or slapped you across the face!

anyways... back to the article...
i find it amazing how fighting just breaks out in the streets almost every day. especially in an area so big!!! it took place in an entire city! it was big enough to go out to the three borders to the surrounding cities!! it connects to romeo and juliet because of the fighting, too. the way that people think that it's okay to start a physical conflict in the heart of a town, village, or city. in fact, the play started out with a fight! as usual, it was capulets against montagues.. then, it was tybalt challenging mercutio. after that, it was romeo challenging tybalt. and notice how the play ends with a duel as well: paris against romeo! there was fighting everywhere!! just like in the article, the fighting endangered not only the duelists, but the civilians as well! it's interesting how people think that they live in their own little world where what they do will only affect them, but it affects everyone around them-- even in the slightest way!! the ripple effect...

They really got it bad over their. Were worrying about our finals grade while their worrying about getting shot! I thought i had it bad. The Sunni and the Shiite remind me of the Capulets and the Montigues, because they fight in the middle of a town.
Don't take things for granted.

IT'S THE END OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!!
