Final, Final Posting (Maybe): That Look--It's Catching!

Again, I thought I was putting up the last post yesterday. It seems that the connections to our play, Romeo and Juliet continue to haunt me as I read the early edition of Tuesday's Washington Post. So this latest study suggests that like germs transmitting disease, emotions can be spread even faster; all it takes is a blink of the eye. Read the article and consider the very first meeting of Romeo and Juliet at the Capulet feast. Were their emotions transmitted in a blink of an eye? Does this study scientifically support the idea that 'love at first sight' is not a myth?

I do believe that this article does prove the theory "love at first sight" to a minimum, because I think what it's saying is that people mimic looks and not necessarily meaning that they like what they see.
the article did say that people act in "monkey-see, monkey-do" ways... they always mimic the emotions that they find themselves facing. this would minimally prove "love at first sight" and maybe that's how romeo and juliet fell in love with each other... i personally think that romeo liked juliet first and then juliet then liked him because when i saw juliet at the party she literally looked bored...
This is probably how Romeo fell in love with Juiet at first sight. He fell in love with her first and after she saw him and had a sense of feeling about what he was feeling for her, she fell in love with him too. The reason for Romeo to fall in love with Juliet at first sight was that he had a good feeling for her and she noticed that, and caught onto that.
Well this artcle relates to a heavy love thats what other people would think at the first time but the second time it juust propably the most important connnection not just spreading the germs but just observing the connection among themselves.
Another quote to go with the article is ONE SPOILED APPLE SPOILS THE REST. I didn't quite find a connection with "love at first sight." I kinda just see more of the YOU HAPPY;ME HAPPY. Just like taking a walk around the block. When you walkd past someone and they smile at you, you automatically smile back. I have to agree with Gabbby (ONCE AGAIN) that Romeo must have fallen in love with Juliet first because their conversation is what kinda made the light bulb in their head go off. Like me and my boyfriend. He's liked me for so long, but it took a LONG conversation for me to actually start liking him.
love at first sight seems to still be to far away for it to be true when r and j where so pationate about each other. if we pass our emotions around then could it only last a minute or a whole three days? isnt it strange when the impossible seems truely possible?
